Natalie Howard has joined real estate debt investment advisor DRC Capital as a partner with responsibility for expanding its debt strategies.
Howard joins from AgFe, where she set up its commercial real estate senior debt asset management business.
She began her career at Paribas in 1989 and has since worked across the debt and CMBS spectrum.
At Morgan Stanley she was a founding member of its European CMBS business and also helped Barclays Capital to establish its CMBS programme, as well as being responsible for its real estate lending business.
She was a managing director at Lehman Brothers where she was in charge of the firm’s real estate debt funds for Europe and Asia.
Savills IM bought a 25% stake in DRC Capital in July, with the option to acquire the remainder of the business in 2021.
Dale Lattanzio, managing partner, DRC Capital, said: “Together with Savills IM, our vision is to serve investors who are increasingly seeking a single point of access to the capital structure. Natalie has a wealth of industry experience that will be invaluable in developing a debt proposition that is highly attractive to investors.“
DRC was formed by Lattanzio, Rob Clayton and Cyrus Korat as an independent investment adviser focusing on the real estate debt sector in Europe. With its HQ in London it has invested more than £1.5bn of capital since 2009 in more than 75 investments.
