Dominvs gains approval for £35.5m Southall development
Dominvs Group has received planning permission from Ealing Council for a £35.5m mixed-use redevelopment of The Green in Southall.
The developer plans 95 one and two-bedroom apartments across a mix of tenures in two buildings ranging from two to 23 storeys. More than a third of the homes (35%) will be affordable, with 10 provided at affordable rents and 23 as shared ownership.
The derelict 0.2-acre site was formerly a bank with office accommodation above it. Dominvs bought it in 2019 for £3.45m, according to Land Registry documents, and last year instructed Savills to market it with a guide price of £4.25m. The developer has now chosen to retain the site.

The site is less than a five-minute walk from the newly refurbished Southall station, which is served by the Elizabeth Line, via which journey times to Bond Street and Canary Wharf will take 19 and 26 minutes respectively. The scheme will provide 177 cycle spaces.
The scheme includes flexible amenity space at the ground-floor level for use by residents and members of the local community. The homes will also have balconies and winter gardens, in addition to shared amenity space on the first floor and a 14th floor rooftop area.
Almost a quarter of the site at ground level will be public realm, which the developer says will encourage greater use of the pedestrian walkways along the west and north of the site.
The scheme was designed by Formation Architects, with planning advice from Iceni Projects.
