Domino’s Russian master franchisee pauses store investment

The master franchisee behind the Domino’s Pizza brand in Russia has said it will keep its stores in the country open but pause any new investment.

As many companies withdraw from Russia and shutter their local businesses, London-listed DP Eurasia said today that its 188 stores in Russia are still open and that the company “remains dedicated to the communities it serves”.

However, the company, which also oversees the brand in Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia, added that it considered it “prudent to limit any further investment into its operations, and will keep this under review going forward in light of the geopolitical situation”. Royalty payments from its Russian operations have been suspended until further notice.
