Derwent signs Comic Relief for Whitechapel HQ
Comic Relief has chosen Derwent London’s White Chapel Building, E1, for its new headquarters.
The charity has signed for 5,000 sq ft in the 272,300 sq ft building. It will take a five-year lease at a rent of £61.86 per sq ft when it moves into the premises in the summer.
The charity will relocate to the sixth floor of the Fletcher Priest-designed building, which was acquired by Derwent in 2015, from its existing offices on Albert Embankment, SE1.

Development on the one-acre site completed in 2016. It is now valued at £100m-£200m.
Other tenants include Claremont Consulting, Emperor Design, GDS, Reddie & Grose, Shipowners’ Club, UK Forex and Wilmington.
Compton, Cushman & Wakefield and BNP Paribas Real Estate acted for the landlord.
