Cutting-edge tech space White Collar Factory opens its doors

With a rooftop running track, 3.5 metre floor-to-ceiling heights, and 100% natural ventilation, it’s fair to say Derwent London’s White Collar Factory, EC1, is the most hyped London office building around.

The new 240,000 sq ft tower block, which opened on Old Street roundabout yesterday, counts Adobe, Box and The Office Group among its tenants. It has been designed to provide some of the most cutting-edge “tech” space in London.

Derwent London’s Simon Silver has spent the past 10 years bringing this project to fruition. At the press launch yesterday morning, he joined EG on the building’s top floor to discuss how the building has taken shape, what London’s new hotspots are, and whether it’s possible to buy land like this in the capital anymore.
