Crown Estate nabs JLL director to oversee St James’s estate
The Crown Estate has appointed William Maugham as head of property management for its St James’s portfolio, SW1.
Maugham comes from JLL, where he has spent the past four-and-a-half years helping to manage the firm’s 10m sq ft London portfolio. Prior to that, he spent more than five years at BNP Paribas Real Estate.
In his new role, Maugham will move from agent managing the Crown Estate’s West End estate to in-house team, working alongside David Semple and Ines Jorge, both development managers for the portfolio.

St James’s is a residential and business neighbourhood, with amenities spanning cafés, restaurants, independent retailers, galleries and auction houses.
Late last year, the Crown Estate launched a series of development projects within its prime London portfolio, including the refurbishment of an office building at 10 Spring Gardens, SW1, and appointed KLM Real Estate, Cushman & Wakefield and Colliers to advise on leasing.
