Courts and Tribunal Services signs for Bruntwood’s West Gate office in Leeds
HM Courts and Tribunal Service has taken three floors at Bruntwood’s West Gate office block in Leeds.
The government agency which provides administrative support for criminal, civil and family courts across England and Wales will occupy more than 26,000 sq ft of office space on a 15-year lease.
The building is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment, featuring more than 33,000 sq ft of space being transformed into flexible workspaces, including the addition of eight courtrooms.

The building is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment, featuring more than 33,000 sq ft of space being transformed into flexible workspaces, including the addition of eight courtrooms.
West Gate’s refurbishment has also included the development of a new reception area, communal refreshment stations and a fitness studio, alongside a bike storage.
Work is being delivered by CubicWorks and is expected to complete in Autumn this year.
Bruntwood commercial director Andrew Butterworth said: “We are committed to providing the workspace in Leeds and across Yorkshire, including ongoing work at our flagship West Village development, a new destination that heralds innovation, collaboration and community.”
HMCTS delivery director (North East) Graeme Goldsmith said: “We are looking forward to moving into our new home at West Gate later this year. It provides us with additional space and we will equip it with modern technology, such as improved videolinks.
“West Gate also has the benefit of having good transport links and is close to many of our city’s most prominent legal chambers, with whom we work closely.”
