Council consulted wrong street over warehouse development

Residents on a street in Northamptonshire say that they are “living in hell” after a 40ft warehouse was erected without proper consultation because the council sent details of the plans to the wrong addresses.

A 160,800 sq ft industrial development was planned on the site of a former Weetabix factory in Corby, with the council granting approval in November.

But residents on Hooke Close, which backs onto the development, said they had no idea of its proposed size. The local authority had mistakenly asked the opinions of people living on Hubble Road instead ― another street half a mile away.
