Cortland director joins Sir Robert McAlpine Capital Ventures

Sir Robert McAlpine Capital Ventures has appointed Owain Thomas as managing director of land and development, as it continues to strengthen its development offering. Thomas will have overall responsibility for the SRMCV development team, as well as implementing a successful strategy to grow the SRMCV business in the build-to-rent and healthcare sectors. He will work with senior management to refresh and implement the overall development strategy for both ongoing and future projects. Thomas joins SRMCV from Cortland, where he was managing director of investment and development for Europe. At Cortland he had responsibility for the origination and build-out of all new investment opportunities, as well as managing Cortland’s construction team, Cortland Build. He previously held the role of development director at Cheyne Capital Management, prior to which he was head of project management at the Mansion Group.
