Corbin & King loses Wolseley to major Minor

Minor International has beaten Corbin & King’s founders in the battle to take control of the Wolseley restaurant.

Jeremy King and Chris Corbin sold a controlling stake in their business to Minor about four years ago. The two sides later fell out and the company was placed into administration in January. Minor appointed FRP Advisory as administrator after it said Corbin & King “was unable to meet its financial obligations” and had become insolvent.

Minor said that while it had “the utmost respect” for the two men, it was “now time to focus on growing the business in the UK and internationally without the involvement of Messrs Corbin and King”.
