Convene’s Abigail returns to VTS
Less than two years after leaving the business to help Convene grows its footprint in the UK, Seb Abigail is returning to real estate tech platform VTS.
Abigail joined Convene in 2019 as vice president of business development, but following its scaling back of operations, has returned to growing leasing and asset management technology business VTS as a principal. He is tasked with leading the European expansion of Rise Buildings, the proptech business VTS bought in March this year.
Abigail, who spent four years at VTS prior to Convene, said he was thrilled to rejoin the VTS team at “an exciting time for the business and the real estate industry”.

“The acquisition of Rise is the latest key strategic step for VTS to deliver on its vision to become the industry’s modern operating system,” he added.
“VTS’s sustained growth during the past year and the overwhelming adoption of VTS Rise from our existing clients since the acquisition, demonstrates how the industry is committed to using innovative technology to deliver value to their customers and returns to their investors.”
Charlie Wade, EMEA managing director at VTS, added: “We’ve experienced fantastic momentum in the UK and are excited to expand our team to keep up the rapid pace. It’s great to see VTS alumni Sebastian Abigail return to the team to drive the further expansion of VTS Rise, which has launched to market at a critical time as landlords look to enhance the workplace experience, welcome tenants back to the office, and understand how people are utilising space post Covid-19.”
