Compound gets the nod for green storage hub

Investor and developer Compound has been given the go-ahead to transform a former oil depot in Tunbridge Wells into a BREEAM Excellent 91,000 sq ft self-storage hub.

Due for completion in Q1 2025, the development is part of Compound’s £200m portfolio, which currently has a 300,000 sq ft development pipeline across Kent, Surrey and Milton Keynes, with a further 200,000 sq ft under offer in London.

The Tunbridge Wells project will deliver a 194% biodiversity net gain and generate 60% of its total energy requirement through on-site renewables.
