City workers returned to their desks as mini-Budget crisis hit

City workers returned to their desks in droves as economic crisis gripped the country.

As bond markets struggled to recover from the government’s mini-Budget, more than 75% of workers in the City were at their desks.
The reading was taken on Thursday 13 October by Google, which tracks the movement of some of its users.

However, in research conducted by Landsec and Censuswide, 29% of respondents said they felt dissatisfied with their employer’s arrangements for hybrid working. This rose to 52% for those in graduate and entry-level roles.
