Leeds City Council’s planning committee has decided to once again defer the decision on Cheyne’s £80m Mabgate Yard scheme and refer it to the chief planning officer.
The committee has already deferred the scheme once, last month, over concerns about potential noise complaints from future residents as the proposed development sits opposite Hope House, occupied by MAP Charity, which hosts late night cultural events.
Although the reserved matters proposals are in line with the local development plan, the members have agreed that the application will be reviewed by the chief planning officer due to its sensitivity.
