Chainsaw manufacturer gets nod for major Surrey HQ

Power tool manufacturer Stihl has got the go-ahead to develop a new 125,000 sq ft headquarters and industrial building in Camberley, Surrey.

The chainsaw and garden power tool maker already has an HQ building in Camberley but is moving to an adjacent 10.7-acre plot of land, owned by Thames Water, to facilitate its growth.

Alongside the HQ building, the land, which is adjacent to a sewage works, will house a second 172,000 sq ft warehouse.
