CBRE’s Sovereign Centros signs Cotswold Outdoor for Merry Hill

CBRE-owned Sovereign Centros has secured Cotswold Outdoor for a new triple-fascia store at Merry Hill in the West Midlands, alongside sister brands Runners Need and Snow + Rock. The British recreation retailer has agreed to a 8,000 sq ft store on a 10-year lease, set to open later this month. The new store, combining Cotswold Outdoor, Runners Need, and Snow + Rock under, will be located near the revamped leisure quarter. The area has seen a boost in footfall following a £12m investment and the arrival of several new operators. The signing comes shortly after news Slim Chickens will open at Merry Hill in May. Nick Round, senior asset manager at Sovereign Centros, said: “Merry Hill’s transformation is set to continue with the addition of Cotswold Outdoor, enlivening the upper mall even further and benefitting from the newly transformed leisure quarter.” JLL, Time Retail Partners, and Font Real Estate represent Merry Hill.
