CBRE hires loan star from Lone Star

Lone Star director Anurag Sharma has rejoined CBRE as an executive director and head of loan advisory in the loan servicing team, led by global head Clarence Dixon. At Lone Star, Sharma was responsible for investments across Europe, covering distressed debt and real estate. Prior to that he was a fund manager at LendInvest, responsible for a £300m loan book for European bridging and development finance loans. He previously led CBRE’s loan advisory team from 2016-2020 and has more than 17 years’ debt and real estate experience working with an extensive range of clients and European banks. In his new role, Sharma will be responsible for helping European clients navigate distressed debt situations as well as running CBRE’s loan valuation platform, currently the largest in Europe at €22bn (£18.6bn).
