The move to Carter Jonas reunites Mitchell with former colleagues Andy Smith and Frédéric Schneider, who joined the firm in 2016.
Mitchell will be based out of Carter Jonas’ headquarters at One Chapel Place. He will work closely with Smith, who leads its national open storage and industrial offering in the UK, focusing on the acquisitions and disposals of assets including opportunities in the burgeoning open storage market.
Mitchell said the sector is seeing increasing occupier and investor demand.
“As well as advising on traditional industrial assets, Carter Jonas’ specialism in the field of open storage was a huge draw,” he said.
Andy Smith, partner at Carter Jonas, said: “Andrew joins to focus on open storage investment to complement our existing and growing team in this sector.”
