Caravan Restaurants is to open its first site outside of London later this spring at Manchester’s Goods Yard building.
The coffee and all-day dining chain has signed a 15-year lease for 10,000 sq ft, according to market sources.
The £100m development in the St John’s district is set to become a regional hub for Booking.com’s 3,000 staff, Globe & Simpson and WPP as well as private members’ club Soho House and Mollies Hotel.
Goods Yard, measuring 333,000 sq ft, is being developed by Allied London. The designs of the workspace have been inspired by the industrial warehouses of Brooklyn, New York.
The office block forms a part of the wider Enterprise City masterplan in Manchester, launched by Allied in 2017, and spanning new builds between Water Street, Liverpool Road and Quay Street. The wider development is expected to complete in 2026.
Gillingham Bell advised Allied London on the Caravan letting.
