Capital & Counties shrugs off threat at Earls Court

The chief executive of Capital & Counties has insisted that plans to de-merge the company’s £3.3bn property holdings in London will not be affected by a council’s threat to seize a significant part of its land.

The company is facing a compulsory purchase order for part of its Earls Court site from Hammersmith & Fulham council.

The Labour-run authority said that it was assembling a case to take control of the former exhibition centre, where 1,500 homes are planned.
