Cain International signs Oberoi for luxury Mayfair serviced apartments

Cain International has signed Delhi-based hotelier Oberoi Group as the operator for its luxury serviced residences development in Mayfair, W1. The investor recently gained planning consent for 23 serviced flats at 17-22 South Audley Street, which it bought in 2016. Works are expected to complete in 2022. The 48,000 sq ft, grade II listed property will also feature a small restaurant and refurbished retail space. The deal represents the Oberoi Group’s debut in Europe. The group, which was founded in 1934, operates 33 five-star hotels and luxury resorts across India, Indonesia, Morocco, Mauritius, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Jonathan Goldstein, chief executive of Cain International, said that Oberoi is “widely regarded as one of the very best in the hospitality industry”.
