Built-ID expands platform to Wales
Social impact tech company Built-ID has made its debut in the Welsh market through a partnership with Flintshire County Council.
Flintshire, in the north-east of Wales, is the first Welsh local authority to deploy Built-ID’s Give My View community engagement tool. It has so far received feedback on a range of issues from more than 1,500 residents.
The company said it plans to roll out the tool across Wales in the coming months. It has developed a Welsh language offer to support its aims of broadening community engagement nationally.

The tool uses gamification and behavioural psychology mechanics to engage with users. Developers and local authorities receive community feedback in real time, allowing them to process suggestions and make any changes to the development during the planning phase.

Savannah de Savary, founder and chief executive of Built-ID (pictured), said: “Technology has an important role to play in how we connect with and engage our communities, and can be particularly powerful in amplifying voices from diverse groups on issues which will directly impact them.”
De Savary added that the company wants to collaborate with more local authorities and developers “who wish to empower local communities by helping people to constructively shape the projects around them”.
Niall Waller, enterprise and regeneration manager at Flintshire County Council, said: “Give My View creates greater opportunities to interact and engage with our communities. Insights from the innovative platform – which saw more than 1,500 individual consultation responses and offered Welsh language accessibility – will be used to ensure the success of Flintshire’s coastal communities in the future.”
