Brookfield closes $500m growth fund

Brookfield Asset Management has closed its growth fund Brookfield Technology Partners II, with total equity commitments of over $500m. The fund provides strategic capital to high-growth companies in technology and real estate. Brookfield Growth is able to leverage capabilities across the broader business, providing support in real estate, infrastructure, renewable power and private equity. Josh Raffaeli, managing partner at Brookfield, said: “Technology is changing the landscape for owners of real assets and increasingly becoming a critical component in every aspect of the economy.” Brookfield Growth has made 14 investments across multiple industries including Latch, a smart access solution for residential and commercial buildings, and GoodLeap, a point-of-sale payment platform for sustainable home solutions.
