Brits work more from home than anyone else (except Canadians)

Britons work more hours from home than almost every other nationality, an international survey has found. Employees here spend an average of 1.5 days a week working remotely, compared with an international average of 0.9, found the study by German think-tank the IFO Centre for Macroeconomics and Surveys. Only Canadians spend less time in the office, working 1.7 days a week from home. The research, which surveyed 42,400 full-time employees in 34 countries, found that those in France spent less than half as many hours at home as Britons, at only 0.6 days a week. Those in Italy are at home only 0.7 days a week while in Spain the number is 0.9. US workers spend 1.4 days a week at home, while in Australia the figure is 1.3. The Times (£)
