British Land signs trio of tenants at Sheffield’s Meadowhall
British Land has signed a trio of deals, with JD Sports, Superdrug and Ann Summers growing to a combined 42,278 sq ft at Meadowhall in Sheffield.
JD is significantly expanding its space on Meadowhall’s lower-level high street by taking over five adjoining shops to create a 29,225 sq ft store – its largest in the region and the second biggest in the country.
The sports retailer has signed a 10-year lease for the new store and is scheduled to open in 2026.

JD is significantly expanding its space on Meadowhall’s lower-level high street by taking over five adjoining shops to create a 29,225 sq ft store – its largest in the region and the second biggest in the country.
The sports retailer has signed a 10-year lease for the new store and is scheduled to open in 2026.
Superdrug is also relocating to a larger store and has taken 10,199 sq ft at the centre on a 10-year lease. The store is expected to open in late May.
Meanwhile, Ann Summers has taken a 2,854 sq ft unit.
The deals follow Sephora UK’s signing of a 10-year lease to open its first Yorkshire store, a 3,389 sq ft unit, set to launch this summer.

JD, Superdrug and Ann Summers are the latest tenants to recommit to the destination, following 26 retailers that invested more than £30m in their stores in the past 12 months.
