British businesses push to hire Ukrainian refugees

A coalition of British businesses is hoping to offer jobs and accommodation to refugees fleeing Ukraine following Russia’s invasion.

The Times reports that 40 companies, including retailers Marks & Spencer and Morrisons, are in talks with the government about hiring and homing refugees.

Between them, the companies say they have some 10,000 jobs that can be given to Ukrainians.
