Boris Johnson has won approval to demolish a single-storey extension that was originally built for servants at his £3.8m, Grade II listed Oxfordshire country home.
Johnson received approval for the plans after promising to protect several mature trees on the site.
In September, the Johnsons won approval to build an outdoor swimming pool despite concerns over its impact on great crested newts. Johnson promised that alternative accommodation for the creatures would be a “newtopia”.
