Bloom and Angelo Gordon have secured planning permission for an “ultra-urban” warehouse development in Camberwell, SE5.
The project is the fourth ground-up development to be carried out by Bloom for its £250m joint venture with Angelo Gordon in central London, following consents for projects in Hackney, Brixton and Greenwich.
Located on Lilford Road, the 52,410 sq ft development will include nine facilities designed by Michael Sparks Associates. The spaces will be laid out over dual two-floor parallel terraces with an open central service yard. Construction will start in July with completion expected in the second quarter of 2024.
The development will be targeting a BREEAM Excellent sustainability rating and an EPC A+ accreditation. It will include solar panels and EV charging points, communal staff breakout areas and increased biodiversity on site.
Since the jv launched in 2021, Bloom has bought six London properties in Brixton, Greenwich, Hackney, Fulham, Camberwell and Park Royal. The portfolio comprises a mix of extensive refurbishment and ground-up redevelopment projects.
JLL and BNP Paribas Real Estate are the letting agents.
