Barnet names Brent Cross shortlist
Barnet council has named the second-round shortlist for a joint venture partner to turn Brent Cross Cricklewood South into a 15m sq ft development.
Six expressions of interest were received from companies and consortia interested in working with the council to bring the scheme forward.

Six expressions of interest were received from companies and consortia interested in working with the council to bring the scheme forward.
The shorlisted parties are: Argent and Related Companies; Barratts and London & Quadrant Housing Trust; Capital & Counties Properties; Far East Consortium International with Countryside Properties, Notting Hill Housing Trust and Southern Grove.
The site has outline planning permission for a 15m sq ft development, including 7,500 new homes.
Richard Cornelius, leader of Barnet council, said: “There are very few companies in the world that can operate at this scale, and we have very high expectations of our future partner. This is an important step in creating a place of which we can all be proud.”
The shortlisted parties have until 29 January 2015 to submit proposals, with the announcement of a preferred bidder expected in March 2015.
