Nick Pink (pictured, right), head of real estate portfolio management for Europe, will step up to become head of European real estate.
Alongside his new role, Pink will maintain his existing responsibilities as well as chairing the European investment committees.
Pink joined Barings in 2005 and was charged with strategy, transactions, and portfolio management in both equity and debt markets. He was previously with CBRE Investment Management.
Barings head of private assets David Mihalick said: “Nick has worked alongside Charles in the build out of the Barings Real Estate European platform since its inception and I am certain that he will continue the strong momentum of the platform in the region.”
Elsewhere, Barings has named James Salmon, currently serving as head of real estate asset management for Europe, as chief operating officer for European real estate.
This is a newly-created role that Salmon will assume in addition to his current responsibilities.
