Barings Real Estate has appointed Sam Mellor as head of origination for structured real estate investments in Europe.
Based in Barings’ London office, Mellor (pictured) will be responsible for the origination and execution of investments and the development and distribution of investment products as the firm looks to expand into continental Europe.
Mellor was previously at Chenavari Investment Managers, a London-based hedge fund, where he was responsible for the real estate business’s debt and equity investments in both public and private markets.
