AWG rejects German bank approach
AWG has spurned a £900m informal approach from WestLB.
AWG said it understood Gordon Morrison, brother of Sir Fraser Morrison, was involved with the approach.
AWG is suing Sir Fraser and Steve McBrierty, former chief operating officer of Morrison Construction for £130m over alleged misrepresentations in connection with the £263m sale three years ago of the property and construction company.

AWG is suing Sir Fraser and Steve McBrierty, former chief operating officer of Morrison Construction for £130m over alleged misrepresentations in connection with the £263m sale three years ago of the property and construction company.
The Independent on Sunday reported AWG was given permission to interview Morrisons’ auditors before it completed the acquisition, yet failed to uncover a massive row about Morrisons’ figures.
