Turner & Townsend has signed a lease to occupy workspace in Aviva’s office building at 11 York Street in Manchester.
The move comes as the professional services firm relocates its 300-strong North West team following growth, which saw employee numbers within the UK business rise by 17% over the past year to a total of 4,206.
Turner & Townsend is moving from its existing office at 55 Spring Gardens, and will occupy 11,500 sq ft of space at 11 York Street.
Stuart Sayer, North West strategic lead at Turner & Townsend, said: “The new office represents an opportunity to create an environment that reflects modern work practices, and one in which colleagues can collaborate to support our growth ambitions. Staying within the city centre was important to us and our clients, with our teams able to use public transport or walk and cycle to and from work.
“We also hope that the scale and location of our new office space will help attract new talent as well as retain existing talent, including 80 graduates and apprentices that we have welcomed over the past two years.”
Other occupiers in the building include Rolls-Royce and Aon.
CBRE and OBI are the leasing agents for 11 York Street. CBRE acted on behalf of Turner & Townsend, while OBI acted for Aviva.
