Arora appoints leasing agents for newly acquired malls
Arora Group has appointed Brasier Freeth and Lunson Mitchenall as leasing agents for its recently acquired shopping centres in Woking and Crawley.
Arora bought the Peacocks Centre in Woking, Surrey, out of administration in March, for around £20m. The group purchased the County Mall in Crawley, West Sussex, last year.
The Peacocks Centre has 80 retail and catering spaces totalling 526,547 sq ft. Major tenants include Primark, H&M, Fatface, TK Maxx, New Look, Superdry, Next, Hotel Chocolat and HMV.

It also includes a food hall on the lower concourse, occupied by tenants including McDonald’s, KFC, Chopstix and Subway. Victoria Place, which sits next to the Peacocks Centre, includes 400 homes, a 189-bedroom Hilton hotel and a 50,000 sq ft Marks & Spencer.
County Mall comprises 455,000 sq ft across 70 shops, cafés, and restaurants. Tenants include Primark, JD Sports, Next, River Island, Superdry and Deichmann. It is located opposite the Arora Group’s Overline House development, which will consist of 300 homes.
Sanjay Arora, chief operating officer and head of property at Arora Group, said the Peacocks Centre has asset management potential to increase its income to circa £4.5m.
He said: “The purchase of these schemes continues the journey of portfolio diversification, holding implicit real estate value for the longer term.”
