Argent set for Sony Music letting at King’s Cross

Argent is close to securing a major leasing deal with Sony Music at its King’s Cross scheme. It is understood the music giant, which represents the likes of Dolly Parton, Robbie Williams and Paloma Faith, is in discussions to take 124,000 sq ft across six floors at 4 Handyside Street, N1. Currently Sony Music occupies 97,000 sq ft at 9 Derry Street in Kensington, W8. It is the latest major occupier to move to the 67-acre development owned by Argent and pension fund AustralianSuper. Most recently Facebook agreed to take 600,000 sq ft across three buildings. The decision by Sony Music to move its UK headquarters follows Sony Pictures Entertainment’s commitment last year to take a prelet of 77,200 sq ft of office space at Derwent London’s Brunel Building in Paddington, W2.
