Application submitted for L’Oréal HQ
Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan and AimCo have submitted a reserved matters planning application for L’Oréal’s new headquarters at White City Place, W12.
The application is seeking approval for the 12-storey building’s access, appearance, layout, scale and landscaping.
Known as Gateway Central, it forms part of the wider 1.28 acre Gateway development site within White City Place. It comprises three plots – Gateway East, Gateway Central and Gateway West.

Outline planning approval has previously been given for Gateway Central and Gateway West, and detailed consent for Gateway East.
The cosmetics and beauty giant confirmed in January that it would be moving to White City from Hammersmith and had agreed to take six floors, around 110,000 sq ft, at the circa 240,000 sq ft building.
A new hairdressing academy for L’Oréal will be created on the ground floor, alongside an outdoor terrace with the capacity for up to 250 people.
L’Oréal anticipates moving into its new home by autumn 2023.
