Apple takes bigger bite of 22 Bishopsgate
Apple has significantly expanded its presence in the City of London, with a fresh letting at the Square Mile’s tallest building.
The tech giant has signed for an extra 78,000 sq ft at 22 Bishopsgate, EC2, the 62-storey tower owned by AXA IM Alts.
It already occupied 52,000 sq ft across floors 31 and 32 and has now taken the three floors above, which had been reserved as option space throughout the pandemic.

Apple is believed to have set up shop in the Square Mile to house its Apple Pay mobile wallet and contactless payments division. Apple Pay has seen significant growth in recent years, with Bernstein analysts having predicted that it will account for 10% of global card transactions by 2025.
The letting comes as Apple prepares to move the bulk of its London workforce into its future UK headquarters at Battersea Power Station, SW8, next year.
The company is set to relocate about 1,400 staff from eight sites in London to an Apple campus in the Grade II listed former power station building, taking up 500,000 sq ft and six floors.
Separately, Apple is also establishing a new office in Canary Wharf after signing for two floors at One Bank Street, E14.
The building is the London headquarters of French investment bank Société Générale, from which Apple will sublet 66,000 sq ft of offices.
