All change at the top of CBRE Scotland
CBRE has appointed Matt Willcock as managing director of Scotland, effective from 1 January 2025, taking over the reins from David Smith, who has been at the helm for two years.
Smith will continue to be part of the senior leadership team, taking on a new role focusing on capital markets and development spanning the office, industrial and logistics, retail and living sectors.
In his new position, he will deepen integration with CBRE’s global network and leverage international connections to further elevate Scotland’s attractiveness to capital. Stevie Newlands will continue to lead the investment team.

Having joined CBRE in 2012, Willcock has held key leadership roles across the London and regional business but more recently in Scotland, playing a pivotal role in driving a client-centric culture, implementing growth strategies and fostering high-performing teams.
Willcock said: “The Scotland business has incredible potential, and I am honoured to be taking over at such an interesting time in the market, building on the strong foundations laid down by David. The opportunities to drive forward new strategies that deliver value to our clients, empower our team and support sustainable growth are vast.”
