Activist Oasis criticises Restaurant Group boss’s pay package

Hong Kong-based activist investor Oasis Management Company has urged shareholders to vote against the Restaurant Group chief executive Andy Hornby’s pay package, calling it “disproportionate”.

Oasis has also upped its holding in the company, which operates chains including Wagamama and Frankie & Benny’s. Its stake has increased to 12.3%, from 6.5%.

Hornby’s base salary is set to increase by 2.5% to £674,450 for 2023.
