The team behind 22 Bishopsgate, EC2, has revealed details of the tech set-up that it claims will make the City of London office tower the “smartest building in Europe”.
The building, owned by AXA Investment Management’s real assets division, will use a system developed by Smart Spaces, a London-based company that makes operating systems for buildings.
The system will let guests and workers in the building use a smartphone app as their access pass, rather than checking in at a reception desk and using a physical pass. Workers in the building will also be able to use it to, for example, control solar radiation-activated blinds on the windows.
