Montreaux has secured permission for its 2,000-home redevelopment plans in Ealing, west London.
The developer has been given the go ahead by Ealing’s planning committee for its plan to revamp the former Middlesex Business Centre in Southall.
The 2m sq ft scheme will deliver a mix of affordable and build-to-rent homes, constructed around a new one-acre park.
Montreaux’s plans for the 12.4-acre site also include more than 200,000 sq ft of flexible employment, community and retail space, a new hotel, public green spaces and squares.
Located adjacent to the new Crossrail station planned for Southall, additional infrastructure upgrades in the masterplan include a new pedestrian bridge over the railway, which will further enhance pedestrian movement through the site and the wider area.
The project will be delivered in phases with a start on-site for the initial stage planned for autumn 2019 and first homes due to be available in spring 2022.
David Burke, chief executive of Montreaux, said: “This is a landmark scheme for Montreaux and further evidence of our emergence as one of the leading regeneration developers in London and the South East. It is also a sign of our continued confidence in the development market and our ability to move ahead quickly where similar opportunities to add value present themselves.”
The scheme has been designed by Assael Architecture; GL Hearn advised Montreaux on planning.
