1,000 race for charity in JLL 5K Run

One thousand property professionals raced around Regent’s Park yesterday for the annual JLL Property 5K Run.

JLL’s Alan Silvester took the crown as fastest male in the under-40 category, with a time of 16 mins 54 secs. The fastest female was Gerald Eve’s Amy Bryant, who crossed the finish line in 20 mins 5 secs.

In the masters category (competitors over 40-years-old) Legal & General’s Andrew Mercer flew around the 5km course in 16 mins 30 secs, crossing the finish line first overall. Emma Huepfl from JCRA Laxfield won the trophy for fastest female over 40 with a time of 20 mins 30 secs.

It was the seventh year the JLL Property 5K Run has been held. Competitors raised more than £20,000 for children’s charity Starlight.

Amid sunshine, showers and a rainbow, participants enjoyed music from a steel pans band as well as circus tricks and well-earned drinks after the race.
