Kvaerner seeks £12m in wood row

The builder Kvaerner Construction Ltd has launched a High Court claim against wood-products company Egger (Barony) Ltd for an alleged debt of more than £12m.

The company claims that the money is owed in respect of work carried out on construction of a timber-processing facility, Project Felix 11, at Auchinleck in Scotland.

As an alternative to payment, Hertfordshire-based Kvaerner claims damages for the alleged breach of an April 1997 contract, and a declaration or an award of extension of time for completing the work.
