Kajima Properties hires CBRE’s former head of UK legal

Kajima Properties, the pan-European real estate investor, developer and manager, has appointed Huw Morrison as general counsel. Morrison has left CBRE Investment Management, where he served as the head of UK legal for business lines investing globally and across EMEA in both direct and indirect real estate assets.

With an extensive background in real estate private equity and investment management, Morrison brings a wealth of expertise to the role, in which he will oversee all legal matters relating to the company’s operations. Prior to his role at CBRE, Morrison spent eight years at the international law firm Jones Day.

John Harcourt, managing director of Kajima Properties, said: “Huw’s extensive experience in managing all legal aspects of major projects, coupled with a deep understanding of the real estate sector, makes him an ideal addition to our growing and dynamic business. Huw’s calibre and experience will be invaluable as we continue to expand Kajima’s presence across Europe, particularly as we continue to grow our assets under management on behalf of third parties.”
