Stockbroker Numis takes new space at Gresham St Paul’s
City of London stockbroker and advisory firm Numis has taken 50,000 sq ft of new office space in the capital.
The firm will move from 10 Paternoster Square, also home to the London Stock Exchange, and take the top three floors of Gresham St Paul’s, a nine-storey office redevelopment overseen by Stanhope and AFIAA on Gresham Street that is expected to open next year.
Numis will become a neighbour of financial services firm Smith & Williamson, which has already taken almost 100,000 sq ft of the building across the ground to fifth floors.

As previously reported by EG, Savills advised Numis on its hunt for a new home, while Cushman & Wakefield acted for the landlords at Gresham St Paul’s.
The planned move comes as Numis ramps up recruitment. The firm’s average headcount stood at 278 during the six months to 31 March, according to half-year results, up 13.5% from a year earlier.
Office take-up in the Square Mile is rising. According to Savills, occupiers struck deals for more than 1m sq ft of space during July, more than double the total in June and the best single month of take-up in the City for almost two years.
