Axa IM Real Assets confirms Convene deal at 22 Bishopsgate
AXA IM Real Assets has confirmed it has leased 102,000 sq ft at 22 Bishopsgate to US-serviced office group Convene.
In its first location outside the US, Convene will provide a 51,000 sq ft events and meeting venue, for use by the hour or day, in two of the four floors it will occupy at the building. The space will be available for hosting conferences, board meetings, town halls, product launches, panels, and networking receptions with room capacities of 30 to 300+ people.
The other two floors will house Convene WorkPlace, which will offer flexible, on-demand project workspace and office suites for small to mid-sized companies.

The amenity provided by Convene at 22 Bishopsgate will exist alongside 100,000 sq ft of space that will house an innovation hub for small businesses and start-ups on level seven and a 22,000 sq ft food and dining space on level two, known as The Market and managed by Rhubarb and Young British Foodies. There will also be a gym with a climbing window 125m above ground, class-based activity on Level 25 and a wellbeing retreat on Level 41.
In addition, 22 Bishopsgate will offer a members’ club on level 57 and a restaurant and bar on floors 59-60.
The building, which is being delivered by AXA IM Real Assets on behalf of an international consortium of investors, with Lipton Rogers Developments retained as developer, is expected to open next year with Convene’s space due to open in September 2020.
More than 415,000 sq ft of the circa 1.3m sq ft at 22 Bishopsgate has now been prelet.
