CBRE announced it was entering the flexible serviced office sector in October last year.
Its core offering is known as Hana Team, which provides private office suites for large corporate users.
CBRE said at the time that each Hana facility would also feature two other integral offerings, Hana Meet and Hana Share.
Hana Meet provides conference rooms and event space that can be rented on an hourly, daily or weekly basis, while Hana Share provides traditional co-working space in which users share services, amenities and technology in a communal setting.
The business launched earlier this year, choosing the PwC Tower development in Dallas as its first location. The 500,000 sq ft office scheme is being delivered by CBRE’s development services business Trammell Crow Company and MetLife Investment Management. Hana is due to open there this year.
It is the third component of CBRE’s Real Estate Investments business along with CBRE Global Investors and the development services arm, which is also set to expand into the UK after CBRE agreed terms to acquire Telford Homes for around £267.4m this week.
Telford Homes will become a part of CBRE’s Trammell Crow Company if the housebuilder’s shareholders accept the offer of 350p per share.
70 St Mary Axe completed earlier this year and also has law firm Sidley Austin signed up to occupy 100,000 sq ft on a rent in the high £60s.
BH2 and JLL are the leasing agents on the building for Nuveen. Clifford Chance also advised Nuveen on its prelet to Sidley Austin.
Nuveen and CBRE declined to comment.
