Reinsurance Group signs up to 22 Bishopsgate
Reinsurance Group of America has agreed a 15-year lease with AXA Investment Managers to take up the 45th floor of 22 Bishopsgate, EC2.
The US life and health reinsurance company has taken up 27,000 sq ft and is due to move into the 1.4m sq ft building in the middle of next year.
The 62-storey skyscraper, currently under construction, is due to be handed over for fit-out in late 2019.

CBRE and JLL acted for 22 Bishopsgate, while Carter Jonas acted for Reinsurance Group of America.

In September last year EG reported that AXA Investment Managers was itself planning to take up 65,000 sq ft at 22 Bishopsgate. In March EG reported that US stock exchange Nasdaq was in advanced talks to lease 25,000 sq ft.
EG also revealed earlier this month that insurance firm Aspen, one of the first companies that was expected to move into 22 Bishopsgate, had pulled out of preletting 70,000 sq ft.
