The board of Sir Philip Green’s Arcadia is set to meet today to discuss the retail group’s future before a potential restructuring early next month.
Arcadia’s chains include the Topshop, Topman, Dorothy Perkins and Burton fascias and it is among several high street retailers struggling with rising costs and expensive, oversized store estates.
Chains have responded by launching company voluntary arrangements, an insolvency process that requires the approval of creditors to reduce rent and close stores.
