The convenience store giant 7-Eleven could be set for a return to Britain after registering a trademark.
7-Eleven operates 66,000 shops worldwide through a franchise model. In the 1990s it built up a network of 57 shops in the UK, mainly in London, before selling out to Budgens for £5.8m in 1998.
Its international boss Chris Tanco last floated the idea of a return in 2014, but did not follow through with the plan.
